Search Engine Optimisation or SEO, basically, and it's something that requires on going work. Everyday! It's not just about reaching number one for your keywords, but also staying at number one. It's also important to know the rules, and there are lots of them. It might seem like including your keywords on your pages as often as possible would be a good idea. But it's not. Everytime you write one of your keywords you need to ensure there's plenty of relevant content around it, i.e. content that gives more detail about the keyword. Really to optimise your site, it's best to employ someone to at least ensure your site is search engine friendly, i.e. that Google is able to read all the elements of your site that it needs to in order to figure out what your site is about. Then they will research the best keywords for you to focus on, i.e. words that describe your business, that a lot of people are searching for on a regular basis, but that have the minimum amount of competing websites using the same words. But if you can't afford to hire someone, you can get a lot of tips by doing this free course: The Thirty Day Challenge. I don't even need to give you their website address. I can guarantee you that if you search for those keywords the correct website will come up in the number one position, because obviousy they know how to optimise their site.
Hope this helps,
