Default Two different websites - which version works best...?

Hi all

Earlier this year I redesigned my website Your Credit Manager limited - B2B credit management and credit controlling specialists! using weebly. It was my second attempt at webdesign and I thought it was "ok" given my very modest ability with web design... but nothing to write home about. A friend of mine has prepared an alternative version based on the content of my own site and has posted this at
Your Credit Manager Limited - Home I'm very impressed with this new version myself and I'm 90% sure I'll use this in place of my own design but I'd appreciate any feedback from anyone willing to offer it - good or bad - on which design they think is better suited to appeal to Financial Controllers or owners of SME's who are my target market.

Cheers, you guys can be brutal as you like!!!!

Michael

Hi

Both seem very slow. I tested one using Pingdom tools.

Pingdom Tools

if came out with an unbelievable 60 seconds. Google recommend a maximum of 2 seconds.

The other is much faster

Pingdom Tools

but does not look as good. I would drop the weebly.com it's too slow to be any good for users. I am sure you can work on the design for Your Credit Manager limited - B2B credit management and credit controlling specialists!

THanks, the plan is to re-write the site on the weebly domain name onto the co.uk in the very near future, I guess this should the fresher looking site with a faster load time.

Cheers

Hi,

Once this is done carry out an A/B test using Google Website Optimiser. This will categorically tell you over a period of time which page/site works best

Very true. Although the cosmetic appearance of one site may look better than the other testing is critical.

Best of luck.

I don't know how was the other one, but the current site is very nice.
Corporative, serious, design is ok, and usability is fine.
