Default Fastest way to get the message out...

Thinking of starting a new "related" business.

What route would you take to get the maximum exposure as quick as possible for as little as possible ?

Would it be something that your current customers would be interested in? Would you be able to send out some direct marketing to everyone who has purchsed from you through the web?

Thinking down the same lines as Sean, use your existing customer base if they are the same target audience.

Will we use the shop customers (will be a local business) to help spread the word / get custom initially but how would you then extend this. Leaflets ?

How about writing a couple of articles for the local rags? People will always read stories about how a local hamster can whistle the national anthem or the like. A nice friendly story or two with your details at the bottom as the author and what you do.

A few posters up in the local areas? community centre, local shopping centre or other areas that have those kind of boards.

Try something a little different, ask some of your regulars to get their pets all together and go to the town centre to create a little buzz, hand out some leaflets a few free samples and just talk to people about the business and get them interested...
