Default Twitter as a Marketing Tool

Twitter has clearly had an enormous impact on our culture and not many days go by before one aspect or another of this site is discussed and dissected by both the popular press and broadsheets.Analysts have estimated that there are 1.2 million active users, posting in excess of 2.25 million tweets every day. London has the highest population of twitterers of any city, and this is indicative of the UK's fondness for this media. All this seems to suggest that being aware of trends and your competitors on Twitter and perhaps even setting up your own account could be worthwhile. Do you agree? Or do you feel, as some do, that it is merely an addiction to information for information's sake, and an opportunity to 'uberblog'?

Hi Mandy

Thanks for your post - we've had a number of discussions about Twitter over the past few weeks, most recently over Google's proposed interest. It's certainly growing in popularity, and a number of our members are using it to great effect - if you have a search through some of the previous discussions, you may wish to add to the debate.

I've edited your post to remove the link, as you haven't got enough posts yet, but why don't you head over to our introduction section and say hello? The debates flow much easier when we get to know a little bit about you first. I'm sure everyone will be very welcoming. Introductions - Free Business Forum UK

Look forward to hearing more from you,

Lou

For give a human face to the company use twitter. By twitter you keep your customers up to date with the latest news of the company. That’s the reason i think it’s the best to start using twitter as a Marketing tool. Twitter is becoming an increasingly important platform for online communication. Twitter is has over 1 millon users and broadcasts over 3 million messages everyday. Today BMW made a customer unhappy and he twittered about it.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, as there are a few Twitter threads, but my question is actually related to the title.

How do I post the Twitter Feed onto our website? (sorry for the stupid question). Thanks in advance

I think what you need is an RSS feed. You'll need someone more geeky than me to help you implement it though

There is a tool within twitter which allows you to post code on your site which displays your feed - let me hunt around and will post back in a bit.
