Nope no delay. I used to have a wireless headset, mouse & keyboard. I used to take them to work with me cos I couldn't stand the old crap ones they had. Unfortunately the day I left I forgot to take home the sender (bit that plugs into pc to send the signal) so they were no use. Went back to wired after that.

No delay at all.

For my personal use - I use Logitech Keyboard and Mouse, wireless rechargeable. They are expensive but really good. Last years.

I bought my Logitech Mouse for about £50 about 3 years ago - still giving execellent performance.

I wouldn't expect you to as well - each person's needs are different. A £5 wireless mouse is sufficient for most.

I've not had any problems with mine (Microsoft) had it for about two years and only delay I got was when the batteries needed changing, which I have only done once in the whole time I have had it.
