Hi Sian21, well I assume you have some knowledge otherwise you wouldn't be going for an interview involving a presentation on the subject, so rather than teaching you to suck eggs...and as I am in a flying hurry, why don't you list what you plan to include and I (and others) can hopefully see if there is anything missing.

And I would hurry up to Sian, leaving it a bit late will affect the presentation itself.

Well i'm thinking along the lines of:

Its to identify development needs, strengths, weaknesses, priorities etc.

Can be undertaken by comparing to KPI's, SWOT, PEST analysis??

I have just graduated with a degree in business - you wouldn't think i know but i have never came across the concept of a 'business health check' before, and cannot find alot on the internet about it either.

I would suggest looking at websites of Business Coaches, this is their bread and butter, can start with Maximum Attitude Business Coaching who I know has a questionnaire on there that might help you out a bit.

I feel Sian, that we are trying to advise you with far too little information of what you are actually doing, most people on this forum run successful business, we didn't study it, we did it, so I personally haven't got a clue what KPI's, SWOT or PEST are... it sounds like the sort of crap management courses come up with for those that have not a single body cell of entrepreneurial spirit, but like to waffle **** to those in business foolish enough to listen.

The only time I do any form of "business health check" is if I am looking at an acquisition, and any self respecting business person will do that themselves, not rely on a graduate with no business experience to provide a load of mumbo jumbo!
