I?m running cleaning business since last year but I?m not getting expected profits. I want to boost my income in a professional and economical way but unable to think how can I do it. Could anyone help in my matter? I will grateful for you.
Very warm welcome to FBF from me too, but I agree with IP2 - unfortunately it will be very difficult for anyone to give any help or advice without knowing more about your business. Can you give us a bit more background so we can try and help?
Well, I guess it depends on whether you're commercial or residential, but let's presume you're a bit of both.
The short version is, you have to spend money to make money, but for very little, you can transform your business. Here's some tips for you...
> Flyers (biased I know!), Cheap and effective form of marketing. Get out there for a week, push yourself and you can get 10,000 flyers delivered into homes, businesses and every fish and chip shop / post office / community centre in your area. You will get a response from this, and if you deliver it yourself, you only need pay for the design and print
> Business cards - wherever you are, there's an opportunity. You need GOOD quality business cards, make sure you always have some, your partner has some in case you lose yours, your associates have some, even ask your friends to give them to friends.
> Website - If someone hasn't seen your flyers / business cards, then chances are they'll try and find you on google. Get yourself a nice website, there's people on here who can help you with that and not charge you the earth either.
> Sign Writing your vehicle - Get it done WELL, you need a GOOD design, gone are the days of sticking on vynal letters and it doing the job, it's 2010!!!
> Networking - go to business breakfasts - I bet you could probably attend a networking event every day for a week if you drove a bit.
> Yellow Pages - ahhh, I know, expensive!!! But for your type of trade, it still works, unfortunately you need to pay them A LOT of money.
You have some options there. If you exclude my yellow pages suggestion, you can do all that for less than ?1,500. I know that may seem a lot now, but unless you spend it, you'll stay where you are.
You are only in business a year and expecting profits from what is a small margin Industry, I would be suprised if you do make a profit after one year,If you are you doing well, dont be impatient. Service businesses need high turnover you will always be at risk if you do not get to ?IM +T/O, If your margins are to big, youll be gone on the next tenders,
I would call my self a service business instead of a cleaning business that way with the in you have to your customers you can supply other service with little cost
window cleaning company
carpet cleaning co
refuse so on
You can use good contractors add you margin YOU CHARGE ALL SERVICES IN ONE INVOICE clients really want this. So you become their service provider down to giving cover for staff they may have on leave, hols and the likes. So there is how to get more profit from a current client solve there problems
I think profit is mainly depend on what type of Cleaning Services provided by you.if you provide some extra facility to your customer then i think your business boost .There are some ways such that using SEO services you may boost your business.
Well every business demands time to establish completely and generate more profit. So you should keep patience and continue with your quality services and also you can go for advertising and promotion.
