Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20 2ST
The Bobby Moore Academy will open in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in September 2017. This is your chance to shape it from day one.
A unique, state-of-the-art learning environment with, as the name implies, a sports specialism, the Academy will transform the life chances of students across East London. What’s more, as it’s part of the David Ross Education Trust – a growing network of over 30 unique and diverse academies – you’ll have exceptional opportunities to progress too.
A motivational environment
Year 7 students will be the first to flourish in our inspirational setting on Stadium Island. But we’ll soon bring the broader legacy to life across two school buildings: both our primary and our secondary school will celebrate determination, respect and achievement. You’ll plan, develop and deliver the support network that underpins it all, making sure our operations are flawless and our growth – which is potentially significant – is smooth. An influential role
Administration, business management, finance planning, forecasting and expenditure will all fall under your control. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you’ll make critical decisions on everything from the recruitment, management and development of support staff to the creation of policies and procedures; from procurement contracts to sponsoring and partnership arrangements; and from marketing strategies to facilities management. And, certainly in the initial stages, whilst the budget, staff and pupils grow, you’ll need to be flexible and have a very ‘hands-on’ approach to many of the day-to-day activities involved in running a school. An impressive background
This is a prestigious, wide-ranging role that calls for a keen financial mind and plenty of commercial know-how. So your high-level administrative, finance or accounting qualification will need to be backed by extensive business and administrative management experience. Indeed, you’ll already have proved your planning, budgetary and advisory credentials in a senior administrative role within a large academy. Familiar with the complexities of all sorts of contracts, licences and funding bids, and skilled at negotiating them, you’ll be equally confident building productive working relationships with colleagues, governing bodies and external agencies alike. In short, you’ll be as good with people as you are with numbers. An exceptional network
The David Ross Education Trust aims to be the country’s leading academy chain. Already it’s helped schools reach Outstanding in the eyes of Ofsted and gain impressive results at every stage of a child’s education. More than that, it’s committed to encouraging the career growth of its entire staff - including regular in-house training/development for non-teaching roles. In fact it’s won Teaching School status for its work supporting teachers and school leaders. A competitive package
As well as the chance to drive the growth and success of this exceptional new academy, you can look forward to:
-access to Teachers/Local Government Pension Scheme
-free use of the exceptional sport and leisure facilities at the Academy Apply here: https://express.candarine.com/campai...d/fd158d036889
