Default Kesa Electricals mulls sale of Comet chain

Kesa Electricals has revealed it is looking at all options for Comet - including selling the loss-making chain.

The firm is working on a turnaround plan for the 250-store retailer but also considering 'strategic alternatives', it said.

Comet made a loss of 8.9million in the year to April 30, compared with a retail profit of 11.5million the year before. Total sales fell 6.8 per cent to 1.54billion.
